HGSNY will be
working with La Fiesta Folklórica
Puertorriqueña this year. We
plan to have a kiosk in the Cenrtral
Park venue slated
for August 24th. HGSNY
will join forces with "Fiesta"
to share our love for culture and genealogy! Join us at this important
tradition.

Puerto Rican Genealogy
at “El Centro”
El Centro, one of the
premier resources for Puerto Rican genealogical research will host a free
workshop presented by HGSNY during Hispanic Heritage Month.

2008 TRIP TO
PUERTO RICO?
For those
itching for a field trip this year, the society is presently asking
members if they are interested in a trip to Puerto
Rico later this year.
The proposed trip would include a visit to the most important
archives in Puerto Rico, and some fun
surprises. If you are interested,
please contact the society at HGSNY@aol.com.

Puerto Rican Genealogy 2nd Congress POSTPONED
till 2009
The 2nd
Congress Event planned originally for this year has been postponed till
2009. Event coordinators for La Sociedad Puertorriqueña de
Genealogia have regrouped to plan an exciting event next year. Details will be shared as they become
available.

DC 37 has requested HGSNY to present a
workshop on Hispanic Genealogy slated
for at 100 Barclay Street, in downtown Manhattan. More details will be available
