President & Co-Founder - Charlie Fourquet Batiz: Charlie has been researching his family history, and helping others find their Puerto Rican family roots for over 21 years, co-founding the organization and serving as it's Vice President. When he is not working on his favorite hobby, he works a Senior Systems Administrator for an international corporation, providing network to desktop level maintenance and support. Charlie is a long standing member of La Socieded de Genealogia Puertorriqueña, and served as Board Member of La Casa de Herencia Cultural Puertorriqueña (1996-2006), and Consultant for La Fiesta Folklorica Puertorriqueña.
Past President and Past Vice President of Publications - Debbie Figueroa Fort: I began researching my family history in November 1989, without a computer and Internet access. I went from knowing practically nothing about my maternal ancestors to knowing exactly where they were from in Spain and the name of the church where all would be baptized, married and given Christian burial since 1753. Along the way, I have come to know a lot about myself, met many wonderful people and can appreciate so much more all that my ancestors did to survive throughout the centuries when so many odds were against them. I have learned much about the history of Puerto Rico and how that history has been somehow shaped by my humble ancestors.
Vice-President & Society Treasurer - Ann Margret Feliciano-Duminski: Ann Margret was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Puerto Rico. Her interest in genealogy began in 1996 when she joined the HGSNY family. Over the years she has held several positions within the organization – currently Vice President & Society Treasurer. She is the Executive Assistant to a Hedge Fund CEO, married with two children. Ann Margret also enjoys teaching her elective class, for a NJ middle school – where she teaches kids how to create their family tree.

I am now in the 1700 late 1800 My family are always telling me why I bother researching dead people but when they need copies of old pictures, I get the call. I am the Event Coordinator of the Society. I work for a Stock Brokerage Company in NYC.
Technical Librarian - Orlando Bodon-Echevarria : Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. But my heart and soul are in Puerto Rico. I’ve been working at the public library for 26 years. I am researching Ponce, Jayuya and Cabo Rojo. My interests are collecting books on Puerto Rican history, photography, cooking.
Online Press Officer - Nancy Gonzalez Cumba: My interest in genealogy is preserving the family history for future generations. I am known in the family as the picture archivist. One of my goals when I started my research was to locate my father's side of the family. This journey started about eight years ago mainly asking family members what they remembered. I attended an event with the society on how to start doing family research on the internet and that sparked an interest in me. I caught the "genealogy bug". I am researching my family roots in Cayey and Rio Piedras.
